Jesus’ followers are imperfect. Sad, but true. In today’s gospel of Jesus, according to Matthew, we’re given a process whereby we strive for reconciliation and setting wrongs right. And when that process fails? “Let that person be to you as a tax collector and a gentile.” But maybe that doesn’t mean what at first glance, we might think!
